You may have quite strong feelings about trying to make money from your blog it's not uncommon for some to think it's unethical, evil or uncool, or anything that falls into those categories then don't commercialise it.
But if monetizing your blog doesn't offend your sensibilities then go for it on the other hand if you think it's evil, then that's fine too.
But you have to be absolutely clear in your mind that you want to do it before you even begin because trying to make money from your blog is challenging and difficult as it is, without self-sabotage kicking in and making your attempt somewhat half-hearted.
You ought to feel great about generating income this way there really is not a lot wrong with wanting to succeed at something.
If you feel that your blog has genuine value to it, then earning income from it should be no more than you deserve.
